Eric Tapp - Owner
Once this horseman had an insurance license in his hands, it didn’t take much time for his focus to zoomed in on equine insurance services…..and did he ever ! Now twenty years later, he proudly leads his team of associates servicing the equine community in 20 states by day, but you will for sure find him on one of his war horses after hours (or reading someone’s insurance policy ;-). Most of us find ourselves scratching our heads wondering if we have ever heard his accent, and where its from…? It’s French Canadian!! But, don’t let his roots fool you, this guy’s heart belongs to old Glory. Talk Horses, History, or Hockey with him and you just made his A list : )

Chassity Kelch - Office Manager
Our fearless leader has over a decade of experience in the insurance industry and is a multi-tasker and problem solver by nature, not to mention a mother of three young daughters! Chassity is as committed to her team and clients as she is to her family. She is often heard taking care of urgent business issues at her girls' softball, soccer, riding lessons, and dance practices. We are blessed to call her "ours.” You will be too!!

Heidi Mcelroy - Senior Customer Service Associate
Our longest-tenured team member is also known as our flight attendant, whose calmness under pressure and passenger-first philosophy are remarkable. Heidi’s years of experience in the insurance industry and involvement in her family’s equine business make her an ideal business partner for you. Look for her at the softball field or at the rodeo after hours, where she enjoys watching her teenage daughter grow up.

Jake Krieger - Sales Associate
Born and raised around horses, it was an easy choice for this horseman to build his career in the equine industry. Don’t let that rough look fool you. Jo Ann Smith is our newest associate to our team and will be the first one to great you if you visit our main office. Jo Ann enjoys crafting and spending time with her five grandkids. She learned about horses at the family homestead through her father's passion for them.

Natalie Watson - Client Service Specialist
Natalie Watson started with the agency last year during one of our largest periods of growth. As a spouse and a mother of three, Natalie’s multi-tasking and time management skills have made her a huge asset to the team. Natalie grew up on a farm and doesn’t shy away from hard work. One of her biggest contributions to our team is her work in claims management. While claims are settled at the insurance company level, we pride ourselves on having a claims specialist to help our customers navigate through the entire claims process. When she's not at work, Natalie likes to refinish furniture, garden, care for her chickens, and drive her kids to different sports events. When calling the office, Natalie is typically the first voice you hear, and she is excited to welcome you to the Tapp and Associates family.

This lifelong equestrian is one tool that every horse owner wish they had in their toolbox! Her diversified back round ranges from raising three amazing children, owner of Bridle Path stable 2024 Best of the East Equine facility award winner, accomplished show career and an equine insurance specialist including worker’s compensation for your equine operation. Jack - Marketing Ambassoador
Our misfit marketing ambassador, joined our team in November 2021. We met at the Horsemen Mission Select Sale and immediately hit it off. He quickly became the center of attention at events, parades, on the battlefield, the trail and even had his moment of fame opening up the 2022 Fantasia @ the Equine affair. When off duty, he stands at the Last Stand Farm in Williamsburg, OH
